Last month the Pretio team hosted a Mindfulness Seminar put on by MindWell Canada and held at the always inspiring Fort Tectoria. The seminar was customized for local tech/startup employees (i.e. multi-screen addicts) designed to teach us how to live a less stressful, more joyful and connected life. Our big brothers at Google, Apple and LinkedIn have made Mindfulness a part of their corporate culture with studies reporting a significant effect on work performance, creativity and conflict management.
So what did we do for two hours? We practiced focusing our breath and clearing our minds. And, remarkably, we all left feeling a little bit lighter – and more than a little curious about how we could bring these newfound skills into our daily lives.
Seeing as we live and breathe mobile at Pretio, it only made sense for us to find the best apps for some peace and mind. Check out these apps and take a minute for yourself. We promise it will be worth it. After all, finding time for your mental health are definitely #momentsthatmatter.
